e-SLIP, the Electronic Single Laboratory Integration Platform, was developed in-house to address the challenges of unifying over 800 partner laboratories with SGD’s expanding network of 60 locations. Before e-SLIP, many partner labs relied on manual processes, leading to inefficiencies, delayed communication, and errors. The platform enables partner laboratories, regardless of their system limitations, to electronically submit test requests, receive results, and synchronize patient records in real time.
The platform eliminates paper-based processes and reduces reliance on phone or email communication, resulting in faster turnaround times, reduced administrative overhead, and more reliable communication. e-SLIP’s adaptability allowed for smooth onboarding of partner labs, even those with limited resources.
The success of e-SLIP has led to improved patient outcomes, quicker decision-making, and a more efficient healthcare system. By connecting hospitals and smaller clinics alike, e-SLIP helps make diagnostic services more accessible to Filipinos nationwide.
