Founded in 2013, SGD is the Philippine subsidiary of Pathology Asia Holdings. Over the years, it has grown significantly, now operating in 60 locations and serving more than two million patients annually. One of its key initiatives, the SGD Home Service Laboratory, allows patients to schedule home sample collections through mobile phlebotomy services, eliminating the need for hospital visits.
SGD’s ICT award-winning initiative, e-SLIP (Electronic Single Laboratory Integration Platform), streamlines laboratory systems, reduces turnaround times, and minimizes human error. This platform has helped SGD become the send-out partner for over 800 laboratories nationwide.
SGD also invests in workforce development, offering specialized training programs through its Credentialing Program. In 2024, 359 training modules were completed. Additionally, the company helped VisayasMed in Cebu modernize its diagnostics systems, improving patient outcomes and test result turnaround times.
